There's not much of a story to this picture other than the fact that its a purple flower. I do not know exactly what type it is either.

This is a gate that would normally be blocking access to a section of a parking lot but I've never seen it move.

Macro photography is easily one of my favorite shooting styles. I like having the ability to get a better view of small things without stressing your eyes. For example, the "Built to Last" picture I took shows the bubbles and wrinkles of the old paint and the rust and scrapes of the metal. You wouldnt be able to see these little details without really focusing on the object and thats why I prefer macro shots.
